  Tikona Fort Tikona  also known as  Vitandgad ) is the dominant  hill fort  in  Maval  in western India. It is located near  Kamshet  around 60 km from  Pune . The village nearest to the fort is called Tikona-Peth. The 3500 ft high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangular". Tikona Fort 🚩 The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', a water tanks (seven water tanks) and some Satvahan caves.   Anjaneri Fort  Anjaneri , one of the forts in the mountain range of  Nasik - Trimbakeshwar , is considered to be the birthplace of god  Hanuman . Anjaneri is located 20 km away from Nasik by Trimbak Road. It has become a famous trekking spot for local Nashikites, specially in the rainy season.  Anjaneri Fort 🚩 Anjaneri is an attraction of Nasik city, which is also an important fort in the  Trimbakeshwar region . Karnala Fort    Karnala Fort  (also called  Funnel Hill ) is a hill fort in  Raigad district ,  Maharashtra , India, about 10 km from  Panvel  city. Currently it is a protected place lying within the  Karnala Bird Sanctuary . It was a place of strategic importance since it overlooked the Bor pass, which connected the  Konkan coast  to the interior of Maharashtra ( Deccan Plateau )  on the main trade route between these areas. Korigad Fort   Korigad (also called Koraigad, Koarigad or Kumwarigad) is a hill fort located about 20 km (12 mi) south of  Lonavla  in  Pune district ,  Maharashtra , India. Ajinkyatara Fort Ajinkyatara   ( meaning "The Impregnable Star") is a fort on one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of   Satara   in the   Sahayadri   Mountains of   Maharashtra , India. It is a 16th-century   fort   that was called "Ajimtara" during Aurangzeb regime and was based on Aurangzeb son's name, Ajim.
